Archive Agent is not loading

In some environments it has been reported that the Contentverse Archive Agent may occasionally not launch when the short-cut is clicked. Instead a blue bar will appear in the bottom left (or top left corner). When this happens, the following steps should be followed.

1.) End any ArchiveAgent.exe processes that are running in windows task manager.

Warning: The next step requires modifying the registry. Registry modification should only be performed by experienced individuals. Incorrectly modifying the registry can lead to application and / or operating system failure. Any modifications performed are done at your own risk.

2.)Open the registry editor.

3.)Navigate to HKLM>Software>JavaSoft>Prefs>Computhink>Contentverse>AA

4.)There will be 2 keys, autostart and manualstart. Set the autostart to false and the manualstart to true

5.)The Archive Agent should now launch when run via start>programs>Contentverse>Contentverse Archive Agent.
